“I was immediately impressed with the communication and turnaround time. I was quoted a figure, and they held to it. That almost never happens with any work I have done on this custom truck.”

Serving Cambridge, MA
We do not have a shop in Cambridge. Everything is coated at our Warwick, Rhode Island shop, usually a little over an hour south depending on how Storrow Drive and I-93 are moving.
The short answer
Cambridge is a dense city with a lot of old metal: iron railings on triple-deckers and brick rowhouses, cast iron radiators in older apartments, patio furniture on small decks and roof gardens. Wheels take their share of abuse too, from tight parallel parking and narrow streets.
Text us a photo of what you want coated. We send back a ballpark price, and the final number is set when the part is at the shop.
Parallel parking on streets around Harvard Square, Inman Square and Central Square is where most Cambridge curb rash comes from. Granite curbs are unforgiving, and one bad scrape takes the finish off a wheel lip in a second.
In winter, Memorial Drive, Mass Ave and the McGrath Highway area all get salt and brine. That salt works into the scrapes and starts corrosion under the clear coat. We strip, blast and repair the lip before coating, so the new finish goes on bare metal.
Older Cambridge homes in neighborhoods like Mid-Cambridge, Cambridgeport and North Cambridge often have iron porch railings and cast iron radiators that have been painted over many times. Powder coating starts from blasted metal instead of adding another layer on top.
Patio tables and chairs are another common job. Bring them in clean and we will strip, blast and coat them in a color from the Prismatic Powders library.
Plenty of Cambridge residents do not drive every day, so we suggest planning a single trip. Text photos of everything you want done, get the ballpark, then bring it all down together during shop hours, Monday to Friday.
For wheels, bring them with the tires on. We dismount, coat, remount and balance in one building.
