Tire Dismount, Mount & Wheel Balancing · Warwick, RI
A coated wheel is only useful once the tire is back on and it rolls smooth. Instead of sending you to a separate tire shop, we handle the dismount, remount and balancing ourselves.
The short answer
TPMS sensors and valve stems come out before the wheel goes in the oven, and go back in during remount. That keeps the sensors away from curing heat.
Balancing after coating matters: the wheel has been stripped, repaired and recoated, so it gets balanced fresh before it leaves the shop.
01
Dismount, coating, remount and balancing in the same shop, no second appointment elsewhere.
02
TPMS sensors are removed before curing so they are not exposed to oven heat.
03
Mounting is done with the new coating in mind, so the tire goes on without scuffing the wheel.
04
Wheels are balanced after coating so you do not feel vibration at highway speed.
How it works
Tires come off and TPMS sensors and valve stems are removed.
The bare wheel goes through repair, powder coating and curing.
Tires and sensors go back on the finished wheel.
Each wheel is balanced so the set is ready to install.

“I recently had my CRV wheels powder coated black and couldn’t be happier. Ocean State did a terrific job in less than two days.”

“I was immediately impressed with the communication and turnaround time. I was quoted a figure, and they held to it. That almost never happens with any work I have done on this custom truck.”
