Serving Lowell, MA
Lowell is one of the longer trips to our shop, usually about an hour and a half down I-495 to Warwick, Rhode Island. We are upfront about that because it matters when you plan the day.
The short answer
Customers still make the drive for full color changes, rim and crack repair, caliper colors and larger metal jobs where they want one shop to handle everything from stripping to balancing.
Text us a photo before you go. You get a ballpark price, and the final price is set when the parts are at the shop.
Lowell winters bring plenty of snow and salt. The Lowell Connector, Route 3, I-495 and the VFW Highway along the Merrimack River all get treated, and that brine works into any chip or scrape on a wheel.
Older streets around downtown, the Acre, Centralville and Pawtucketville have rough patches and potholes, and tight parking near the canals and mill buildings means curb rash is easy to pick up.
We see a lot of truck and SUV wheels from the Lowell area, plus motorcycle parts from riders who want a fresh finish before the season. Boat parts from people who spend summers on the lakes and the coast come in too.
Homeowners bring iron railings, patio furniture and radiators, and local businesses send fabricated metal parts that need a finish built for New England weather.
At roughly an hour and a half each way, you want one trip. Text photos of everything you need done, get the ballpark, then bring it all down together during shop hours, Monday to Friday.
For wheels, leave the tires on. We dismount, repair, coat, cure, remount and balance in the same building.
