“I recently had my CRV wheels powder coated black and couldn’t be happier. Ocean State did a terrific job in less than two days.”

Serving Providence, RI
Providence streets are hard on wheels. Potholes after the freeze and thaw, patched pavement, narrow streets lined with parked cars and tight curbs make cracked barrels and curb rash a common problem across the city.
The short answer
Our shop is in Warwick, a short run south on I-95 from downtown. Bring the wheels with tires on and we handle the rest: dismount, repair, powder coat, remount and balance.
If you are not sure whether a wheel is worth saving, send us a photo first. We will tell you what makes sense before you drive down.
After a hard winter, roads around the city are full of potholes and rough patches, from the highways around the I-95 and Route 6/10 interchange to neighborhood streets in Elmhurst, Mount Pleasant and Olneyville. A hard hit with low-profile tires can crack the inner barrel of an alloy wheel.
The giveaway is usually a tire that keeps losing air with no puncture. Barrel and lip cracks can often be welded when they are in a safe area. Cracks in spokes or near the hub are a replacement, and we will tell you which one you have.
Parallel parking on the narrow streets of Federal Hill, Fox Point and College Hill, or squeezing into spots around Downcity, is a recipe for scraped lips. Curb rash usually looks worse than it is, and most of it can be repaired and refinished.
Once the damage is fixed, the wheel is powder coated so the repair blends in and the finish holds up to the next winter of salt and slush.
From downtown Providence, the Warwick shop is roughly 15 to 20 minutes south on I-95, more in rush hour. Shop hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Students and car enthusiasts from around the city also use us for caliper colors and full wheel color changes. Send us the car and the color you have in mind and we will help you pick from the Prismatic Powders library.

“I was immediately impressed with the communication and turnaround time. I was quoted a figure, and they held to it. That almost never happens with any work I have done on this custom truck.”
