“I recently had my CRV wheels powder coated black and couldn’t be happier. Ocean State did a terrific job in less than two days.”

Serving Worcester, MA
Our shop is in Warwick, Rhode Island. Worcester customers bring their wheels and parts to us there, usually about an hour down Route 146 depending on traffic.
The short answer
Central Mass is hard on metal. Worcester sits higher than the coast, so winters tend to run colder and snowier, which means more plowing, more salt and more brine on the roads. That is a rough combination for factory wheel finishes and anything bare steel left outside.
Before you drive down, text us a photo of what you want coated. We reply with a ballpark price, and the final price is set once the part is at the shop and we can see it up close.
Worcester is called the city of seven hills for a reason. Steep streets around Vernon Hill, Grafton Hill and the neighborhoods off Pleasant Street mean a lot of braking, and that packs brake dust into wheel finishes. Once the clear coat chips, winter salt gets under it and the corrosion spreads.
Commuters running I-290 through the city, I-190 up toward Fitchburg and the Mass Pike out to Auburn see long stretches of salted pavement every winter. Frost heaves and potholes on older roads like Grafton Street and Park Avenue add bent lips and curb rash to the list.
A lot of what we see from central Mass is truck and SUV wheels, plus motorcycle parts that come out of storage every spring. Snowplow hardware and trailer parts are common too, since they spend the whole winter in salt.
Contractors and small shops around the Blackstone Valley and Worcester bring us railings, brackets and fabricated steel. Powder coating gives those parts a finish that generally holds up to New England weather better than a rattle can coat.
Since the drive is about an hour each way, the text-a-photo step saves you time. Tell us what the parts are, what is wrong with them and the color you have in mind, and we will tell you what to expect before you leave Worcester.
Bring wheels with tires mounted. We dismount, strip, blast, repair, coat, cure, remount and balance in the same building, so there is no second stop at a tire shop. Shop hours are Monday to Friday.

“I was immediately impressed with the communication and turnaround time. I was quoted a figure, and they held to it. That almost never happens with any work I have done on this custom truck.”
